Ascot, Ladies Day

Hi everyone, it's Friday, hooray!! For me this week flew by, maybe because I had so many things to do, which is good but now I feel shattered.

Today's post is all about Royal Ascot and Ladies Day . Ascot is a famous English race course located in the small town of Ascot in Berkshire. Ladies day is the most glamorous of the five race days, where we ladies get to play dress up and impress with bold hats, head pieces and elegant dresses,  and for men to match in a grey or black waist coat, tie, top hat and tails.
Ricardo and I have been planning for Ascot for quite some time and we were really excited to finally make our way  there last week Thursday. Our tickets were for the Silver Ring, that is located on the straight mile, best if you want to go for a picnic, it is indeed a really vibrant and lively place. Better still we were the first to see the Royal procession and because the silver ring is quite close to the rail we could see the race horses. Also the party continues with a live band once the race has finished. In all Ricardo and I had a great time, we bet and won twice, drunk Pimms, had a bit of a dance and even got involved in a game of swapping hats. We are already planning to go back next year.

Thank you for reading.
